Building Sustainable Earth Community

Since Sherys' question I've been pondering what green jobs we could create. I see a lot of them centering around food and homes. The list of businesses Richard endorsed were all centered around food or drink. We all gather in community at time around food. It is one of the essential pillars of life. Our food system is directly tied into the Empire of Domination for he who controls the food controls life. The corporations who control almost all production now care nothing about the health of those who consume their poison, They are fattening us up for the trance before the eye of Sauron. The carbon footprint is horrendous for long distance food they flash before the screen. For Gods sake Bush even wanted to allow processed chicken from China. Hauled on the most polluting form of transport, ships who emissions cause acid rain killing ocean life. And the ships go back empty cause they exported all our work to places far away.

The rebuilding of the community should be done with a thought to the long term carbon costs.

So I see people creating businesses . growing sprouts,
brewing beer,
culturing yogurt.
Ben had some good ideas, pancake mix, grainola etc.
Building and managing community root cellars and storehouses, building high hoop greenhouses.
Tending orchards.
Canning tomatoes,cherries,peaches,raspberries and beets.
We can use the Earth Ship construction method for the root cellars( Kaedden can explain)
A green job is demolishing old structures by hand to reuse the timbers and bricks for reuse.
Converting trucks to bio fuel. Installing solar hot water systems. Insulating buildings.
